INFORMATION
CHARACTER: joel miller from the last of us. a gruff and brutal post-apocalyptic survivor in a world taken over by infectious mind-controlling CANON POINT: pre-canon, on the road mid-canon, or post-tlou1 most likely atm, although i’m happy to work with anything from tv/game canon or to AU him into other like-minded settings. i’ll be up-to-date on the tv show week-by-week, i’ve played the first video game, and i’m working on the second. pls be gentle as i dip my toes into the water voicetesting-wise.
A NOTE ON CHARACTERISATION: visually pedro pascal and ostensibly writing from the tv show, but tbh i’m likely to write him as a mixture between the tv show/video game and to combine the two canons — this effectively means that joel will be a bit more aloof, violent, and coldly pragmatic than the tv show version.

FIGHTING/INJURY: yes! it’s what he’s best at; his role in his partnership is the brute-force muscle, and he’s far too good at it; he has a callous turn towards violence.
GENRE INTERESTS: found family, survival, grief, hurt/comfort, softe domestic moments stolen against the backdrop of a terrible setting, a man slowly learning to hope and to love again, #complicated father/daughter shit with ellie, aching understated romance with tess.
CROSS-CANON: heck yea, particularly other post-apocalyptic settings and zombie canons like the walking dead.
SHIPPING: tess or cross-canon (m/f or m/m) only for this fella. he's an absolute slow-burn who opens up to others at a glacial pace, but i'm shipping trash so i'm v here for it. cool with either ftb or smut if anyone ever gets there.
note that he’s also in his mid-50s & i’m not into age gaps — joel is just too much of a dad for it — so ships ought to be age-appropriate. 35+ at minimum, and other fellow tired olds would be a++.
